With the start of a new month, we’re pleased to announce that our On The Haus partner for this Fall season is Provision Community Restaurant. Provision is a give-as-you-can cafe located in South Minneapolis that provides daily dinners for all people, regardless of their ability to pay.

Role: Brand Ambassador
We are seeking a handful of super-outgoing, beer-savvy individuals to represent Bauhaus Brew Labs at various tastings and special events across the Twin Cities as well as River Falls, WI and Menomonie, WI. With 2-4 tastings or events a month, this role would wonderfully complement an existing full-time job or course load. To join the Bauhaus family you must:
⚬ Be 21 years old or older
⚬ Have a passion for craft beer
⚬ Have customer service experience and a strong love for the human race and interacting with them
⚬ Have reliable means of transportation to get to tastings and events in a punctual fashion
⚬ Be willing to work evenings and weekends (sometimes on a short notice)
⚬ Have the stamina to stand for long periods of time

Role: Part Time Packaging Person
We’re looking for a few people to help us on our packaging line at our warehouse in Fridley, MN. Requirements include:

We’re looking for a skilled graphic designer to throw down 10-12 hours a week on brewery design projects including event posters, social media graphics, various signage needs, etc…. Requirements include:

Guys, we're relaunching in Wisconsin (!) and doing it in a pretty unique way. We're teaming up with Sociable Cider Works to distribute and sell our beer and their cider directly to retail licensees in the state of Wisconsin. The idea for this approach was born of creative problem-solving in response to the challenges faced by small producers in an ever-changing and competitive market.
“With so much distributor consolidation and other distribution challenges these days, we wanted to explore a more direct approach to reaching our consumers,” says Matt Schwandt, COO of Bauhaus. “Jim [Watkins] really had the inspired idea that Bauhaus and Sociable – already local neighbors – could cooperatively self-distribute in Wisconsin to get our craft beer and cider to thirsty consumers while offering the best possible service to retailers.”
In 2018, Bauhaus increased its production capacity from 13,000 barrels per year to 20,000 barrels per year. “More beer means more opportunity for us to share our brews with the world. Wisconsin boasts a one-of-a-kind beer culture, and with self-distribution, we’re excited to sell Bauhaus and the spirit of “gemutlichkeit” in a very personal and authentic way.” Sociable, whose brand of dry, bubbly ciders are new to many consumers really wanted to be on the front lines of telling their story and showcasing the diversity of cider in Wisconsin. “We have so many fans and staff with roots in Wisconsin, that we really couldn’t wait to share our unique approach to cider making with our neighbors.”
Bauhaus Beers: Wisconsinites can brace their taste buds for Bauhaus’ award-winning flagship offerings plus a Fall seasonal. Bauhaus brews will be available at both on- and off-premise accounts across Wisconsin in 12 oz. cans and flowing fresh on draft at select bars and restaurants.
Sociable Ciders: Wisconsin can look forward to “Decidedly Different” lineup of flagship and rotating seasonal products from Sociable
For those in the Milwaukee area, there will be a relaunch event taking place at Burnheart’s in Bayview on September 19th at 6pm. Partygoers can expect beer/cider specials and giveaways!

Oh hey, ya'll! Exciting new beer release from Bauhaus: Y'ALLARHORN, a Juicy IPA fermented with Hornindal Kveik yeast. Y'allarhorn is our third Over the Charts beer: a special series featuring flavor-forward, experimental brews that offer a departure from our core and seasonal offerings.
Y'allarhorn is a wonderfully juicy IPA with massive hop flavor and aroma but without any assertive bitterness. With a relatively simple grain bill of pilsner and Vienna malts, along with a large percentage of protein malts like wheat and oats, this beer has a smooth, pillowy texture complimented by intensely juicy hop flavors and fruity yeast esters. What really makes this beer unique is the use of Norwegian Kveik yeast, an exciting new strain that recently became available to brewers in the U.S. Kveik has been used by Norwegian farmhouse brewers to ferment beer for centuries, and has quickly become a favorite for brewing extra juicy IPAs given the intensely estery profile it imparts with higher fermentation temperatures. We fermented this beer at the top of the Hornindal Kveik strain's range (around 95ºF). The result is a juicy, flavor-forward IPA with a smooth mouthfeel and a pleasantly dry finish.

Hops: Aroma: Azacca, Cascade, Comet || Dry Hop: Azacca Cascade Comet || Bittering: NONE
Yeast: Hornindal Kveik

This Saturday we celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Looking back at our first few meetings as a family, it's amazing how far we've come in a relatively short span of time. We're aware that the market is quite different today than it was when we opened our doors, and we're incredibly proud to say that we have worked tirelessly to earn and maintain our position as one of Minnesota's top ten volume producing breweries and in the company of some the most talented breweries in the country. This fresh, unfiltered German-style pilsner is an homage to the unique German-style lagers that inspired us to launch Bauhaus Brew Labs. We used only the finest German-grown pilsner malt along with Tettnang and Spalt Select hops for a wonderfully flavorful yet easy-drinking summery pilsner that would make any beer drinker hoist a pint and say "prost!"
⚬ Lemonessence Pale Ale, 5.5% | 63 IBU, 1pm tapping
Crafted on our brand new, state-of-the-art pilot system, this American Pale ale is bursting with citrus character. Generous amounts of Mandarina Bavaria hops were tossed into the whirlpool to release distinct tangerine-like notes that complement the lightly toasted malts oh-so-perfectly. The aroma is supercharged thanks to a couple of drops of Lemongrass and Sweet Orange essential oils, and the dry hop is 100% Minnesota-grown Coment.
⚬ Lil' Wispy Lichtenhainer, 3.6% | 0 IBU, 2pm tapping
This low-alcohol, slightly smokey and lightly sour ale is a nod to the camaraderie among breweries in Northeast Minneapolis. We sourced house-malted wheat malt from our friends across the street at Able Brewing + Seedhouse, which was then lightly smoked over oak in the Animales food truck that is now a permanent fixture at Able's taproom. With hints of bready malt, smoke and lactic sourness and literally no hops, this beer is not only unique but surprisingly refreshing!
⚬ Creamsicle Lounge Wizard, 5.2% | 40 IBU, 3pm tapping
We dosed our juicy pale ale with a healthy abundance of orange and vanilla, resulting in a treat that’s reminiscent of our favorite childhood push pops.
⚬ Coffee Stargrazer, 5.0% | 22 IBU - 4pm tapping
Our light and smooth black lager is brought to astral heights after being infused with coffee beans directly from our neighbors at Dogwood Coffee.

Anticipate a wondrous feast of culinary delights from our friends at Butcher Salt, Hoodlum BBQ Co. (owned and operated by our very own brewer Andy Nolan!), and Sweet Gypsy Waffles. On top of that, JonnyPops will be keeping kids of all ages cool on the patio with their frozen treats.
We wouldn't host an anniversary soirée without some ridiculous amusements. Partygoers can expect adult tricycles, inflatables for children and grown humans alike and games from our buds at Missing Pieces Escape Games . We’re talking human- sized foosball (Yousball) and real-life Hungry Hungry Hippos (in this case, Hangry Hangry Hipsters).

Good Day, Hauslers! We're busy sipping on our newest beer, a Blackberry-Lemon Petite Saison we're calling FRUIT PONCHO, so we're doing alright! This beer is a part of our Over The Charts series - flavor-forward, experimental brews that offer a departure from our core and seasonal offerings. Beer fans can expect periodic, limited releases of Over the Charts beers that channel Bauhaus’ love of creativity and clean, flavor-forward brews.
Back to Fruit Poncho. This session-strength (aka “petite”) saison features fruity notes of lemon, blackberry, and citrus rind as well as a little peppery spice and complementary hop flavors/aromas. We brewed this beer to offer a refreshing, low-ABV thirst quenching farmhouse-style brew during the warmest months of summer
German pilsner malt provides a lightly malty foundation while wheat and spelt malts contribute to an enhanced mouthfeel and slightly spicy character that plays well off of the yeast phenolics. We hop this beer with El Dorado, Saaz and Mandarina Bavaria, which impart fruity notes of mild tropical fruit and pleasant floral citrus. But most of the flavor of this beer is derived from French Saison yeast esters as well as aging the beer on blackberry puree and lemon juice concentrate. Finishing crisp and dry with lingering notes of fruity spice, this petite saison is a refreshing summer treat!
