Amigos! A few months ago we started hatching a plan to host a Night Market at Bauhaus during the gorgeous Minnesota summer months. Our plan was to start things out small, and help this fledgling idea take flight and grow into a bigger venue eventually. To say that the community response has exceeded our expectations is quite an understatement. We are blown away.
We've scrambled a bit and expanded our taproom and patio and built what we think will be an incredibly memorable night celebrating food, beer, and art. No, there's not quite room to accommodate all 18,000 people who have expressed interest, but we've been stretching and we are ready for you if you're coming! We only ask that if you plan to attend that you come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to support local artists. We have food lined up from Create Dining Studio, Natedogs, Brooks High (can you say beer battered po'boys???) and Potters. Not to mention coffee from Dogwood. On top of that there will be a slew of entertainers roaming the street and artists selling everything you can imagine. This event is truly about them - supporting these crazy craftsmen by buying their art. We want you to drink beer, boogie with the belly dancers, and eat at least a dozen beignets - but above all, celebrate these artists in all of their weird and awesome glory!

MN Craft Beer Week is coming up, and we are thrilled to be dining with Cocina Del Barrio and a few of our favorite breweries in town for a night of collaborative cuisine and Minnesota beer. Beers from Bauhaus, Fulton, Indeed, Surly, and Summit will be paired with a dish created by a powerhaus chef from Barrio. It's going down at 6:30pm May 4, 2015 at Cocina del Barrio (5036 France Ave S., Edina, MN). Five courses for $55 (tax and gratuity not included). Space is limited, so RSVP now! Bauhaus Brew Labs, recently named best new brewery in Minnesota, and featured in Beer Advocate's 'Class of 2014,' is hiring a brewer for our 30BBL production brewery in Northeast Minneapolis, MN. We are expanding our capacity to 5,000BBLS/year, and we need an awesome brewer to help us pull it off.
- Passionate about and capable of brewing exceptional beer
- Physically able of moving heavy (80-170lbs) objects without assistance, and performing all brewery functions
- Physically able of repeatedly lifting up to 55lbs over a long duration and being on your feet all day
- Flexibility in scheduling, as brew shifts tend to run around the clock
- Bonus: Experience and familiarity with the exquisite art of lager brewing
- Hot side production of wort and graining out
- CIP brewhouse, tanks, canning line
- Equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- Sanitary yeast handling and pitching
- Monitoring fermentation, beer clarification & dry hopping
- Transferring and filtering, cellaring, packaging
- Heavy lifting such as keg washing and grain milling
- Quality Control and troubleshooting
- Compliance with and further development of SOP's.

Bauhaus Brew Labs is a family of musicians, scientists, artists and above all, beer lovers, aiming to reinvigorate the spirit of the family brewery. At Bauhaus, we take a unique look at classic German-inspired beer styles, skewed slightly by a sense of play and adventure. We opened our doors in July of 2014, and launched out four year round Haus beers in September. Our goal with this initial expansion is to get closer to meeting local demand for our core beers while working in new seasonal beers.
To kick off the New Year with a bang, Bauhaus Brew Labs announces the release of their second winter seasonal, the strangely awesome Über Düber.
Loosely based on traditional German bock beer – but hopped up and süper funky – it is a 7% malty, smooth ale with some unconventional oceanic hop additions for an incredibly unique, hoppy experience. Black currant, cherry, and earthy flavors with a straight-up dank aroma, are supported by a rich and full malt profile. This seasonal offering genuinely defies any style category, making it a true Bauhaus original.
Über Düber 22 oz. bomber bottles will join the already available core Bauhaus beer cans in liquor stores starting in late January, but will debut at the St. Paul Winter Beer Dabbler on January 24th. It will also be available on tap at Bauhaus and select restaurants starting the week of January 26th.

Man, what a crazy three weeks it's been. You twin-citizens have proven to be a thirsty bunch of beer drinkers! It has been so awesome seeing you all in the taproom - raising glasses, grabbing growlers, beering it forward, and just hanging in the brewing wünderland you helped us build. We are brewing up a storm over here trying to keep up with your taste for delicious beers, but Lordy! Y'all are thirsty! You cleaned out our 30 barrel supply of wagon party in two weeks! Now we are literally staring at the latest 60 bbl batch waiting for it to finish -- and of course, it's taking it's sweet time. To distract you, we thought we'd share a bit about what's been going on behind the scenes as we continue to dial in the system and the process.
One of the craziest things we've been dealing with is getting the Sky-Five! properly carbonated. Here's a sciencey fact for you - if you can't get it cold, you can't get it carbonated. Some cooling problems early in our brew-volution made it impossible to get that batch cold in the Brite - so we have been forcing CO2 in the kegs one at a time as fast as we can. Of course that introduces variability into the mix that we are not thrilled about. But for us, it's part of the process.
When you think about the phrase 'dialing it in' it sounds like a pleasant, make-a-few-tweaks-here-and-
60 barrels of Sky-Five!, Wonderstuff, Wagon Party, and Stargrazer are finishing up as we speak - all smelling and tasting spectacularly good. If the beer gods are kind, we will have 240bbls packaged and rolling out by next weekend. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, twin cities!

Wednesday 7/23 3 PM: Taproom is back in the action. Come play games, drink some delicious beers, and be on the lookout for the growler toss at 9:55!

Tuesday 7/29: Pizza Dinner with Brew Pub Pizza at the taproom! Tickets are sold out, but the rest of your can pick up a growler at the taproom and a brewpub pizza at your local Grocer. DO IT!
Wednesday 7/30 3 PM: Brace yourselves, the Anchor Truck will be at the taproom. The best fish and chips you can get stateside, maybe in the world paired with some seriously great beer.
Thursday 7/31 3PM: TRU PIZZA TRUCK is making it's Bauhaus taproom debut. If you haven't had a chance to try Jason's amazing pizza creations, get yourself to the taproom, stat!
Thursday 7/31 6:30 PM: Cured + Crafted - A Prosciutto di Parma Tasting & Craft Beer Pairing at Muse event center.
